Hi !
My interests in Marilyn started in 1974, when a song called "Norma Jean wants to be a moviestar" was a big hit. But already back in August 1972, so exactly 10 years after her death, I was curious enough cutting out an article in a Dutch newspaper. I was almost 14 then... and I still have one photo from that article.
Later, I did my exams in English with a script and speech about Marilyn. I didn' t know 1% of the things I know now about her, but then, she was not that popular in the early seventies and it was difficult to find books or articles about her. Norman Mailer's book "Marilyn" was the first one I bought. |
