Will anyone plan on attending THIS year's Marilyn Birthday party (Hosted by Marilyn Remembered Fan Club) in hollywood. I ask this because I think I'd like to meet the people who I've bantered with. :)
I know everyone is thinking "Oh I'll just go to the 50th anniversary." My favourite Marilyn dress has always been the gorgeous wine coloured dress from "How To Marry A Millionaire." HTMAM was one of the first Marilyn films I ever saw, and before that, I'd only ever seen black and white photos of her in that dress. Well, the first time she came out on screen wearing that dress, I swear, my jaw literally dropped to the ground! xx

Favorite would be the black and white "paint splotch" blouse she wore for her birthday at Fox in '62 as well as for the flight to Mexico earlier that year. Something about the pattern and the easy classic style really hits home with me. The odd thing is, we can see where most any outfit she wore or owned ended up-- but I have never seen whatever happened to this blouse. It hasn't appeared in any of the auctions. Maybe that bit of mystery adds to my fascination.

Favorite MM outfits: blue polka dot sundress from Sam Shaw photo shoot (thanks for the shoutout, Leilani!) the white dress with the red polka dots she wore to Atlantic City (in the photos with the WACS and the Miss America contestants) and the black suit from the Milton Green/Bus Stop press conference. But you knew the last one, since it's one of your favorites too! lol.
